Before The Interview

Review your knowledge. Firstly, re-read your CV and the job description, highlighting any skill, qualifications, or experiences that aligns with the job requirements. Go through your past experiences, emphasising wins, recognised awards, and providing examples of challenges you provided solutions for. Keep in mind the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, and Result) when answering questions; better if you back them up with data. It is also good to note that our interviewers will ask you about your knowledge of Cliftons, so make sure you are equipped with some research.

Cliftons’ mission is to create remarkable experiences, together. We want to make sure we uphold this standard by choosing the right people for the role, our dynamic doers, who will continue to hold the torch.

For phone and virtual interviews: Cliftons provides flexibility when it comes to doing interviews, as we’re keen on giving you fair chances to meet our senior management at your convenience. Organise your space beforehand, ensuring that it’s free from background noise and distractions, and that your internet connection works smoothly. Check your laptop settings, audio, and video tools, or maybe do a dry run to make sure that everything is good to go.

For onsite interviews: Be punctual or better yet, be in the venue 10-15 minutes earlier than call time. Interview details are provided to you before the meeting alongside other materials needed for the day. We value people’s time, so we expect the same from you.

During The Interview

Relax and don’t forget to breathe! Our interviewers are professionals in their field, but given our FLIPIT values, they’re also people who know how to have fun. Show us your best self and be confident in what you can offer. We like hearing your experiences, desires, and how they align with our values and expectations. (Pro tip: don’t be shy to ask your interviewer questions! This signals your keen interest in the role and that you have done some research.)

We always appreciate you, our candidates and future dynamic doers, for taking the time to meet with us virtually or face-to-face. We want to make sure the interview process is as seamless and transparent as possible, but also something that you will look forward to rather than be nervous about. Good luck!
