Cliftons’ All Roles Flex policy is designed to support real-life balance in a fast-paced industry. From flexible hours and remote work options to unique benefits like “Me Days” and career-friendly breaks, the aim is to it ensure every role is tailored for individual needs and create a more inclusive, supportive workplace where people can thrive.

At Cliftons, we know life doesn’t always fit neatly into a 9-to-5 routine. Whether you’re returning from parental leave, caring for family overseas, or simply needing time for personal wellbeing, flexibility matters. That’s why we introduced our All Roles Flex policy – a commitment that every role at Cliftons can be shaped to balance professional and personal priorities.

The world of work has changed. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we saw first-hand how important flexibility is for both wellbeing and business continuity. As we emerged from that period, we faced one of the biggest labour shortages on record. To build an inclusive culture, retain great people, and attract new talent, we listened to what mattered most to employees.

Through a survey in late 2021, “good work-life balance” and “flexible work arrangements” ranked first and third of what our people value in an employer. The answer was clear: embed flexibility into every role.

What All Roles Flex Looks Like

Flexibility isn’t a one-size-fits-all arrangement. And it certainly means more than just working from home. At Cliftons, employees collaborate with their managers to find a mix that works for them, their team and the business. This matters especially in an environment where many front-line roles need to be performed onsite.

Options include:

  • Flexible start and finish times
  • Working from home
  • Job sharing or reduced hours
  • Career breaks or a gradual return to work (e.g. after parental leave, long illness)
  • Shift swapping and flexible rostering
  • Time off in lieu
  • Buying up to three weeks of additional leave for school holidays

We’ve Also Added Unique Benefits Like:

  • Reconnect with Family and Friends – work remotely from another location for up to 2 weeks
  • Me Days – four additional paid days each year for volunteering, wellbeing, birthdays or a break
  • Paid mini-break before you start – so new hires begin refreshed and ready.

The Impact on Our People

Flexibility is only valuable if it makes a difference. And it does. In our most recent Employee Engagement Survey, 91% of employees said they can arrange time off when needed and 82% rated their work & life blend favourably.
