At Cliftons, we believe in the power of connection - between people, ideas, and cultures. This NAIDOC Week, we’re proud to celebrate Indigenous history and heritage while also exploring the future of leadership and technology.

In a compelling new video, futurist and technologist Brad Twynham joins Cliftons CEO Vanessa Green to discuss the intersection of artificial intelligence, ancestral wisdom, and leadership transformation.

Brad shares powerful insights on:

  • The deeper meaning behind Welcome to Country ceremonies
  • How ancestral intelligence offers emotional, ethical, and intuitive depth beyond AI
  • Why reconnecting with the Earth and Indigenous philosophies can reshape leadership in today’s fast-paced world

Celebrating NAIDOC Week Across Our Venues

This NAIDOC Week, all Cliftons venues across Australia have collaborated to create menus that showcase some of the country’s finest native ingredients. From bush tomatoes to wattleseed, these hero ingredients are featured in dishes designed to spark curiosity and conversation.

Our goal? To increase education and awareness about Indigenous cultures and history for all Australians - through food, storytelling, and shared experiences.

Here’s a taste of what’s happening:

  • Collaborative menus featuring native ingredients from venues nationwide
  • Supplier engagement with Indigenous-owned businesses to support community connection
  • Special touches, like our Sydney venue’s use of BioPak Indigenous coffee cups featuring artwork by Keith Brown - supplied by a certified Indigenous-owned business through Supply Nation

Why It Matters

NAIDOC Week 2025, held from 6–13 July, marks a powerful milestone: 50 years of honoring and elevating Indigenous voices, culture, and resilience. This year’s theme, "The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy," celebrates not only the achievements of the past but also the bright future ahead - empowered by the strength of young leaders, the vision of communities, and the enduring legacy of First Nations ancestors.

At Cliftons, we see this as a time to reflect, learn, and take meaningful action. Through our collaborative menus, partnerships with Indigenous-owned businesses, and thought-provoking conversations like the one with Brad Twynham, we’re committed to fostering deeper understanding and connection.

We invite you to join us in celebrating NAIDOC Week - whether by watching the interview, attending a special event, or simply taking a moment to honour the wisdom of the past and the promise of the future.
